Providing Support
“We’ve faced many challenges and the support group has been a lifeline. It’s comforting to know that we are not alone and we have a community to turn to for advice and support. This group has immense value to me. They really are my family and there is no appropriate word to describe sitting in a room with other moms who know how it feels to be in your shoes. They understand the fear, the sadness, the guilt, the anxiety and the joys that having a child with T1D brings on a daily basis. I started going to the group for support and to not feel alone. I still go to see my friends, get support and now give support as well.”
